As an exclusive top-end tour organiser we need to reply on accommodations that are consistent with a high quality of furnishings and service. This is achieved with Orari - we know from our guests comments that we can make bookings here with confidence. From South Pacific Motorcycle Tours

Adrian and I enjoyed our stay at Orari very much indeed. We heard about Orari from friends living in Feilding , when I asked if anyone knew of a good place to stay in Chch Janet Scott reccommended Orari. We both felt that the atmosphere you created Jan was excellent with just the right touch of friendliness, helpfulness, and easy conversation. This is the trick to hosting and doesnt always happen - congrats. We felt comfortable staying, would reccommend Orari also, and would come again. We also enjoyed talking to the other guests and should have taken advantage of the evening drinks!! also looking fwd to hearing re a gd tailor in singapore, with many thanks, Adrian and Clare

I loved my time at Orari. The service we received there was welcoming and consistently friendly. Nothing seemed to be a problem. I can't rate the scrambled eggs at breakfast highly enough. The rooms were excellent, good size, clean and definitely value for money. Also well suited for children.

Grahame Langford, Australia

The 3 rooms in which the 6 of us stayed were very clean and tidy upon our arrival and well maintained during our stay. The Hosts were particularly helpful in finding locations and restaurants for us to visit during our 2 days. The food and service were top class and the little Friday get together with other guests was much appreciated. Definitely recommend to our friends.

Karsten Nissen, United Kingdom

This was a very happy place to stay during our tour of South Island. Our only complaint was that we could not stay longer, but our schedule would not allow it. The breakfast was excellent the best on our tour. Sitting round the table with the other guest was a delight. We hope we will be able to visit again

Christ & Els van Poppel, Netherlands

Friendly people, good and comfortable room. Nice breakfast. Perferct location to discover the city, without using your car.

Val Hancock, United Kingdom

The accommodation is very conveniently situated mid-way between the city centre and botanic gardens and very close to the art gallery. The room was spacious and clean. Jan was a delightful hostess who prepared breakfast early for us and recommended a good place to eat in the evening.

Maria Pease, United States

We absolutely loved our stay at Orari Bed and Breakfast. Because of its central location, it was easy to walk to so many things. Our rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The living room and dining room were beautiful. Breakfast was excellent, with a nice variety of foods offered. The staff was so friendly. Jan was extremely helpful with any and all questions we had about places of interest, directions, restaurants, transportation, etc. We highly recommend staying here.

Lily Chang, Taiwan

We enjoyed our stay at the Orari B&B. The place is lovely and the breakfast is just excellent. And above all, you are a wonderful hostess. We hear Orari from the tourist guidebook \"Lonely Planet\" and I would rate a five star of our stay.

Sima Joshi, Australia

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Orari Bed and Breakfast and both would agree that it was the best accomodation we had during our entire month-long trip to New Zealand. We heard about Orari from The Lonely Planet Guide to New Zealand as well as reading online reviews. We both loved the breakfasts in the morning and the glass of wine in the evening! The location of Orari was absolutely perfect too and the rooms very comfortable and beautifully decorated. I honestly don\'t think there was anything we didn\'t like about the place! We would definitely stay again if we came back to Christchurch and would recommend it to friends and family.

Sue Mather, United Kingdom

Brilliant location, extremely friendly staff, beautiful house and comfortable beds. What more could you want? Plus an evening glass of wine - wish we had longer to stay.

David Thomas, Portugal

We stayed at the Orari for 3 nights. The accommodation, hospitality and service was superb and was one of the best B & Bs we have stayed in. Very well located within walking distance to the central area, gardens and restaurants. Highly recommended and would certainly return David and Jane

Thank you very much for having us to stay (twice) at Orari. I found Orari through the internet and would rate our stay as excellent. It is definitely one of the best serviced apartments we have stayed at (and we've stayed at quite a few!) It was clean, well equipped and suitable for children who can deal with stairs. I particularly appreciated having the 'little extras' such as washing liquid, soap powder, cling wrap, foil, kitchen roll etc all provided for. Also ample tea towels. This meant we didn't have to rush out to buy them and then use for a couple of days only. I also really appreciated that Julie provided us with a few bits of fruit when we first arrived. We have come off a long haul night flight with the children and had had to throw away all their snacks coming through immigration/customs. This saved me having to rush out to buy them food when we were all feeling a bit jet lagged. The apartment was very well equipped, even soap, shampoo and conditioner in the dispenser in the bathroom. The apartment was very well equipped, even soap, shampoo and conditioner in the dispenser in the bathroom. We appreciated the early check in, and also the way the pricing is managed ie we could take a 3 roomed apartment but only used 2 rooms and were charged on the basis of the number of people and number of nights. The gardens and surrounding area are beautiful. The location is excellent, it was quiet and we could walk everywhere, into town or to the Botanical Gardens. Thanks again for the stay, we will be recommending Orari to other friends!

sally chapman, United Kingdom

A wonderful stay in a most attractive house. Orari is in a perfect spot for sight seeing and restaurants. The rooms are all beautifully presented and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious, perfect.

Ra batchelor, New Zealand

I found Orari Appartments on the internet whilst searching for appartments in ChCh. I chose it because it was new, clean & modern and very close to city and the show we were going to. It accommodated 5 ladies very comfortably in the 3 rooms plus a roll- away. It worked out perfect for us. It exceeded all expectations - was clean & had everything we required for the 2 nights we were there. The owner and straff were very pleasant and helpful. Distance to airport was 10 mins by taxi. Will go again

Sydney Summers, United Kingdom

Orari was the highlight of our trip. Jan and all the others were helpful, considerate and professional. The room and open spaces were lovely and comfortable. In a country of hospitality, I found Orari and the staff to be our favorite. Thank you for a great New Zealand experience. S. Summers and E. Keay

Renae Mcgee, Australia

We all enjoyed our stay at Orari Apartments. The apartment was very clean and had everything that we required for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We found you on the Holiday Homes website. I would recommend anyone to stay here. Renae McGee

Pat Pettit, Canada

I learned about Orari through the internet while looking for places to stay in Christchurch. The room was largem bright and had all the amenities we required. We loved the location and the fact that we could walk to market, restaurants, gardens and other places of interest. The breakfasts were adequate although I always like to have the option of skim mild for cereal and wholewheat bread for toast. Pat Pettit Note from the manager: Both skim milk and full cream milk is put out for breakfast every day and soy is always available too. Toast is made fresh as each guests arrives and a range of wholegrain, rye and oaty white is put into each toast rack.

Dorothy, Werner, Liedtke, Canada

We enjoyed our visit here. Jan and her staff were very helpful, knowledgeable about answering our questions.Breakfast was tasty. The glass of wine and happy hour was a very classy touch. They made suggestions for dining. We would stay here again. The facility is A -one Dorothy and Werner Victoria BC

Allison Edwards, United States

Very nice rooms and people, and a great location.

Arna Martin, New Zealand

We loved it, really nice apartments, very clean and tidy with nice atmosphere. Great location with surprisingly very little noise considering where it is situated.

david horner, Australia

We enjoyed our stay at Orari.Central location is excellent for accessing the city centre and sights. The property is very well apointed and maintained.Daily room servicing is a nice touch. The rooms are very comfortable although our room was a tad small (I made the booking on the net so can only blame myself)Overall a good place to stay.Would reccommend to others.

Nathan Dunn, New Zealand

Great location, nice apartment, no complaints from me.

Michael Smith, Canada

Charming rooms. Excellent location. Excellent service.

Elizabeth MacKenzie, United Kingdom

Excellent - could not fault at all. Very welcoming. Beautiful house - full of character and spotlessly clean. Evening wine and breakfast delicious especially the stewed plums! In very central position.

Michael Longridge, Unknown

This is a very stylish, relaxing and civilized place to stay. Orari is a lovely traditional wooden building situated in a superb central Christchurch location right opposite the Art Gallery. Jan and her staff are welcoming, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent too. We would always hope to stay here on any future visits. Mike and Scilla Longridge.

Julie Chakos, Australia

Our family stayed in the 3bdrm apartment for 6 nights. Fabulous in all respects. Walking distance to city and many excellent restaurants, cafes. Quiet location, spacious and very clean apartmentsm probably one of the best we have stayed at in all our travels world wide. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back wouldn't bother even looking for alternate accomodation. 5 stars for all of us. Chakos Family.

Martin Axtens, New Zealand

Fantastic place to stay. Plenty of room, walking distance city centre, very comfortable. Highly recommend it. Will be staying there again.

Gordon Ure, Australia

We had a room on the first floor which whilst small was excellent. The reception was outstanding - professional and welcoming with good advice on dining options as well as help with transport to the airport. Although this was very early in the morning, we appreciated the offer of having breakfast. We loved the happy hour - the best feature of the stay. The stairs were a little concerning with a loose tread - just as well there was a lift for the luggage although a little scary to operate. Note from manager: I'm wondering if this guest is thinking of the stairs somewhere else as our carpet is in excellent condition with no loose threads at all (I have just double checked) and each stair has a metal tread along the edge for extra safety.

Sandra Archbold, Australia

We stayed at Orari B & B for 2 nights. The position so close to so much in Christchurch and was excellent. As we had chosen Orari from the internet this was a pleasant surprise!.Jan was very welcoming, altho the room we had was the smallest in the house, it was very adequate and comfortable. The happy hour with a glass of wine was civilised and a pleasant way to meet other visitors. We are really pleased we found Orari and would definitely stay there again. S&B Archbold. Sydney

Ben Rose, United Kingdom

The only mistake that we made booking Orari was not booking for longer. The accomodation, people, atmosphere and rooms were absolutely amazing. We were in room 2 which was luxury, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the staff always friendly. The free wine in the evening was a wonderfully nice touch whilst sitting and reading through the bookshelves. Thank you for a wonderful nights stay, we'd love to come back. Ben & Annie

Michael Smith, Canada

I found a reference to Orari in the Lonely Planet Guide to New Zealand I bought. Then I looked more carefully at the location. The stay was delightful, the accommodation and breakfasts just fine. We have no suggestions for improvement. Many thanks for making our time in Christchurch so pleasant.

Frank Greco, Australia

We wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Christchurch and staying at Orari B&B was a real highlight. We miss having breakfast by the Bay window... It was truly lovely meeting you both, you made us feel so welcomed and you are both very accommodating. We are so pleased that we chose to stay at your B&B and to have met you. For a first time visitor, it made all the difference and really left us with a wonderful experience.10/10 Fabulous!

Donna White, United States

Our stay At Orari Apartments: These apartments were terrific, very clean, nicely decorated, and a fabulous location for the art scene. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Jan was very helpful with our logistics as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Rosanna Burston, Australia

The Orari Apartments were perfect for our group of 6 adults. The apartment was spacious, ideal, luxe and a real home away from home. Thank you.

David Snowise, United States

We felt most welcome at Orari B&B. Room and bathroom were clean but TV could have been in a better position for bed time viewing. Situated in downtown Christchurch it was a short walk to most stores and places of interest.

Joan Forbes, United Kingdom

Lovely location. Accomodation very comfortable. Staff absolutely delightful and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Thank You

marco Spadaccini, Australia

Amazing place in a great spot. Breakfast was fantastic and the setting was perfect. Would highly recommend for anyone visting Christchurch.

Jackie Colonnelli, Australia

Great location, great apartments - perfect for families

William Sampson, United States

The inn keeper, Jan, was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to see. Also informative about the North island where we were headed. We took her suggestions on the restaurants and we were not disappointed. We found the property to be bright with a fresh look about it. Room #9 was spacious and very comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Jill Felix, New Zealand

We really enjoyed staying at the Orari B&B. We were warmly welcomed by Julie and the rest of the staff. Our bed was very comfortable, the pillows were the perfect softness, the robes were warm, and I particularly enjoyed my bed warmer. Breakfast was delicious and Julie brought out complimentary wine each night at 5:30pm. If you are looking for a great place to stay right in the center of CHCH this is the place to go. Top Notch and we will be back again! Jill, Sarah, and Ashley

Margaret Graham, United States

This is my ideal bed and breakfast -- charming, comfortable, lovely and interesting art on the walls, friendly and helpful innkeepers, terrific location near galleries, gardens, theater, art center and restaurants. I would visit Christ Church just to stay at Orari again. And the wifi works!

Winnie Host, United States

Wonderful accommodation and very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay so much.

lisa cathro, New Zealand

Everything was perfect for our stay - thank you! When we lived in CHCH I often admired your lovely villa so I knew where the apartments were located. I was amazed how quiet the apartment was. It was lovely and spacious - ideal for a teenager and two other children. The kitchen was a great size and well equipped and the bedrooms and main bathroom lovely and spacious. It was beautifully warm and the beds were the most comfortable I\'ve ever experienced! The apartment was exceptionally clean. We will definitely be back! I can\'t think of any improvements.. It was great being able to dispose of rubbish so readily and environmentally correctly. The location is perfect too. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Peter Gill, Australia

Orari was a wonderful place to stay at the beginning & end of our holiday in NZ. Our hosts were helpful, hospitable & friendly and helped to make our stay in Christchurch so manageable. Our rooms were beautiful - roomy, beautifully furnished & very comfortable.Orari is close to the Cultural Precinct & the city - easily within walking distance. Breakfasts were superb and the sitting room & dining room were wonderful rooms to eat & relax in. A great place to stay. Thank you!

Andrea Flew, Vietnam

Orari gave a warm welcome which our party thoroughly appreciated! The accommodations were well appointed and aesthetically very pleasing. We particularly enjoyed the ambience, quality and care and attention to details in terms of furnishings and service of a high calibre. To be perfectly honest, I'm very much looking forward to my next sojourn with Orari!

Lyn Wicksteed, New Zealand

Stayed at Orari Apartments was very pleased and happy with everything. Very clean , tidy and great location . Well done Orari for such a pleasent experince.

Ian Mealey, United Kingdom

Beautiful, comfortable room. Great situation. Extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Michael Dolny, United States

We stayed in the lovely Orari Bed & Breakfast on our last night in Christchurch. We found it beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had a fabulous breakfast in the morning made by your warm and friendly host, Jan. We felt pampered and cared for and it made a last great impression of our enchanting visit to New Zealand. Cheers!

Kevin Endres, New Zealand

We stayed in the apartment. It is a fantastic location if you are looking for inner city accomodation. Everything is a short walk away from parks, shops, restuarants, gallaries, mueseums, cafes and all the main hospo areas. Lancaster Park is even accessable. I can highly recommend the facilities as well - the rooms are large, kitchen lounge and dinning areas are well set out and the place is cosy warm. Windows are double glazed so place is also quiet. Next time i'm back in Christchurch I will be going straight to Orari, no question about it. Kevin Endres.

Margherita Panizza, Italy

We have been just for a night in Orari B&B but we really enjoyed it. The rooms are big and very clean and the location isvery central. The breakfast was wanderfull with homemade cakes and other stuff prepared at the moment.

Joanne Cono, United States

This is a great clean, beautiful, centrally located B&B. It is spotless, nicely appointed and the happy hour and breakfast were wonderful. We stayed the first night of our trip and liked it so much, made another reservation for the last night of our trip. The staff are available, friendly, and professional without being pushy or in the way. Lovely! On-site parking space is limited, so be sure to ask about it if you will need it.

Elizabeth Foster, United Kingdom

A super place to stay - the welcome was very warm and relaxed yet professional and nothing was too much trouble. The downstairs room is superb - a beautiful place to relax and feel at home. Breakfast was very good. Our first stay was wonderful, but our second just a little marred by the bathroom gurglings from next door! But it's a fabulous, old building and we would most definitely go again. That's the only reason we haven't rated it 5 maybe that's a bit unreasonable of us - do go and stay!

Jan Jones, United Kingdom

We spent 3 days at the Orari B+B, in an apartment. The location is excellent very close to the centre of Christchurch. The apartment was very spacious, clean, comfortable and well furnished and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Jim Thompson, Australia

We found Orari Apartments an excellent place to stay. Apartments were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Extras such as soap powder for washing and kitchen and bathroom accessories made a huge difference for out-of-town visitors. The location is second to none. Staff were very helpful and courteous. We would happily recommend Orari Apartments to anyone.

Da Li, China

This residential home is great and has home like feeling. The things of using is meticulous. Our check out time was on 6:50. The owner, Jan, made breakfast for us. She is so nice. Here was an earthquake last night, 5 level. However we are ok.

Wendy Kofoed, New Zealand

We had an excellent stay in rocky Christchurch. The Orari apartments are in a great spot, in walking distance of attractions, yet quiet and restful. The apartment was well appointed and had everything that we needed for our stay. Would certainly recommend it to fellow travellers.

Karen Furness, New Zealand

We are locals who celebrated a wedding anniversary weekend at Orari. It is a wonderful location as it is very central and has easy walking access to great tourist attractions in the city. Lovely historic building with friendly and helpful staff. If was lovely to meet people from around the worl.d Karen Furness Christchurch

Anthony Summers, United States

In October, 2010 we stayed at Orari for the second time. It was comfortable, clean, with a friendly staff. The restaurant and attraction recommendations we were given were more than satisfactory. The location is excellent, an easy walk from Cathedral Square, the Art Center, And the Canterebury Museum. The art gallery is right across the street. Great place from which to explore Christchurch.

Mark Laing, New Zealand

Amazing staff and excellent service with pleasant smiles all round. Very comfortable and clean room. Will stay again.

ROBERT CROUCH, United Kingdom

We stayed in a Standard Queen room on 1st floor in March 2010. Room and general accomodation was excellent, very friendly and helpful hosts. Good location, easy to get around all the sights of Christchurch, handy for a variety of cafes, restaurants. Only downside was a tight entrance to the car park (when full) which was ok for us as we only had a Focus sized car. Take care with anything larger. Note from manager: Someone had parked in a 'no parking' zone, right at the entrance to the carpark, therefore making it very difficult to negotiate into and out of the car park.

Stephen Fallon, United States

We stayed in New Zealand for three weeks, staying entirely at B&Bs. While our time in Christchurch was short (just two nights), we found Orari to be the ideal choice in terms of proximity to the city sights, appealing classic construction, attention to cleanliness by the staff, and a very friendly disposition greeting all guests from breakfast to check out. In our view, this is what a B&B should be: a stay that feels like you are a guest in someone's home. Jan was especially helpful.

Sara Sturtz, United States

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Orari. We had done our homework prior to our NZ trip and thought Orari sounded good. Well, we chose very well indeed! Jan is extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. We enjoyed chatting over complimentary wine with other guests the two evenings we were there and could not have found a more convenient location, close to the parks, the river, the museum, the university and art center. A Must Visit in Christchurch. Thanks, Jan! Sara and Rob S. Boulder, CO

Cynthia Locher, United States

Thank you for a great stay which was over the top wonderful!!! Everything was fantastic ... our stay was truly wonderful and our expectations were greatly exceeded! I\'m only sorry we live so far away and that we can\'t return sometime soon : ( We will definitely recommend your place to any friends traveling your way!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Hope your holidays are/were wonderful and the New Year is prosperous for you!

Louise Cadden, Australia

We loved staying at Orari apartments for 8 days. Located opposite the Art Gallery and only one block from the beautiful Botanical Gardens was fantastic as we visited both. Quiet location. Apartment had everything you could have needed. We ate in several times and enjoyed the comforts. Thank you for the wonderful holiday at Orari Apartments. We'll be back!

Heather Foster, United States

The bedrooms at Orari are absolutely beautiful, as are the dining room and living room areas. Although we had to leave early to catch a flight, Jan left breakfast out for us and was unbelievably accommodating...we only wish we could have had more time there to truly enjoy it, rather than just an overnight stop on our journey!

Patrick Colquhoun, Australia

All you could need for a visit to christchurch! beautiful accommodation is a perfectly convenient location.

Sina Walker, New Zealand

We loved our stay at Orari Bed and Breakfast. I have stayed at many B&Bs and I can honestly say that yours is the BEST I have ever stayed in!Lovely room, great service (portacot provided for baby) and absolutely delicious breakfast that set us up for a great day in Christchurch. I think you are doing a lovely job, can't think of anything to improve!

Andrew McNaughton, United Kingdom

Delightful place and friendly service. Early evening drinks in lounge was a lovely touch. Together with comfortable room and substantial breakfast = great value. Andrew McN

Debra Daly, Australia

Although our stay was very brief, Jan made us feel very welcome from the beginning. The B&B itself is very well appointed, clean and comfortable. It retains it beautiful character and charm and is very well positioned within the CBD. We particularly enjoyed meeting the other international guests at happy hour. Thank you for providing a wonderful conclusion to our NZ holiday. Daly Family, Queensland, Australia

Sue Saunders, United States

This is the second time we have stayed at the Orari and I would definitely recommend it. Qantas managed to loose our cases for 2 days and Jan and her staff were extremely helpful in phoning and pestering the authorities. Lots of useful help also to have a fun time in Christchurch and the central location couldn't be better. Breakfast has to be one of the best and the early evening complimentary glass of wine went down well too.

Laura Morrison, New Zealand

It was a fantastic stay, lovely and welcoming; great location, yet private and homely. I found Orari's standard unexpectedly high which made it exceptional value for money. The room was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous, well presented and a great variety of foods was offered. Staff were more than welcoming. We're looking forward to staying there again!

Kristi Youngdahl, United States

Orari B & B is a wonderful place to stay. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful, rooms are comfortable and clean, and breakfasts are great. Best of all it is within walking distance to all of the sights in the city center and the park, museums, art galleries and restaurants. We stayed four nights on our arrival in NZ and one night as we left, returning after hiking and traveling around the south island. It was like coming "home". The glass of wine at the end of the day is a nice touch.

Erica White, United States

My family stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment. Very clean and modern. We could walk to every site in Christchurch. We highly recommend the apartments.

david winder, United Kingdom

Staff were very helpful & friendly,Room was spacious & very comfortable.Breakfast great & plenty of choice.

PHILIP SILVESTER, United Kingdom

Jan made our stay at the Orari B&B a really comfortable one. She was a 'mine' of useful information about local amenities (from Dentists to Hairdressers!). Following the awful earthquake Jan and her friends/partner made us feel well looked after and safe. She even used her car as the taxi for us to get to the Airport. Many thanks. Phil & Glyn SILVESTER

Susan Schanning, United States

We had a wonderful stay. Within minutes, we had access to in-house laundry facilities and a glass of wine with other guests in the living room. We visited the local gardens before the scrumptous breakfast. I wish we could have stayed a second night. Susan & Brian, Marblehead, MA USA

Kathryn Chugg, Australia

Was perfect for our family of five. A beautiful apartment, close to a lot of attractions and restaurants. I wish our stay was longer.

Lidia Nemitschenko, Australia

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at the Orari Bed and Breakfast very much. The house and garden are really lovely and we felt very welcome and at home. We first found out about Orari B&B on the internet a couple of years ago and enjoyed our first stay there so much that there was no question about where we wanted to stay on this visit. We rate the Orari as excellent, both for the quality of the accommodation itself and for Jan's friendly and helpful approach to guests.

Greg Costello, Australia

very friendly owner. great location close to the city. really nice sitting areas.

Sarah Sands, United States

Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. If you want a charming place to stay that won't break the bank, I would highly recommend Orari B&B. My family and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Good located and installations but what makes Orari unique is the friendliness of whole the staff. It is easy to feel at home there!

Norman Paul, New Zealand

We stayed for 3 weeks. Our unit was fully serviced each week. It was a pleasure to stay here. Close to all sorts of fun places to go and lots to do even though part of the city is closed. We would recommend staying here.

My young daughter and I stayed at Orari Bed and Breakfast for two nights. It was absolutely lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful people. The room was clean and comfortable. It's a beautiful house to stay in, friendly comfortable and close to cafes etc in town. I would definately stay again and my young daughter has already asked if we can stay there again.

Bernadette Paus, New Zealand

I recently stayed at Orari B&B as I am a lover of heritage buildings and love staying in B&Bs in older buildings. I would rate Orari as top-notch on all fronts. The room was excellent, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and cosy warm, as was the remainder of the house – superb dining room and sitting room. It was lovely sitting in my bay-window looking onto the verandas and lovely garden. The service (Jan) was excellent and the breakfast was first-class…I will be back!!

Gresia Kusyanto, Unknown

Orari has the most important feature to lots of us : location. It is located just beside the Canterbury Museum anf the Hagley Park and is right at the city centre which makes it easy for you to go around by foot. Jan and July are excellent hosts, she made sure we had everything we need and she made the arrangements for the shuttle to the airport, she showed us ways and gave us maps to the bus Intercity bus stop and there were wines every afternoon. The room was very clean, the bathroom works well and overall it was perfect! We will surely come and stay again in our next trip.

Basil Catsaros, Australia

Stayed for a night over the Xmas 2012 break and regret not staying longer. Beautifully appointed public spaces with complimentary wine in the evening a nice touch. Very clean , comfortable room and conveniently located near botanic gardens. Management very helpful with dinner recommendations /local knowledge and went out of the way to assist us with missing baggage ( Jetstar a nightmare to deal with). Will stay again

Great stay. Friendly, high quality rooms, close to town & parks, fabulous breakfast. ***** I' was extremely happy with my stay at Orari.

Bryan lucey, Australia

Excellent charming b and b. Most kind and helpful!

Christl Freier, Germany

Orari is a lovely B&B with great rooms, overall a lovely atmosphere. The price was a little steep given that bathrooms are separate though private from some rooms and of course there is a construction site right outside. The latter must be forgiven though as an earthquake is not something anyone has control over. Overall we can recommend the place but during an off-peak season prices could be less.

Peter Johnson, Australia

Perfectly run B&B,lovely staff, central to city and botanical gardens, would highly recommend Peter and Melinda Sydney

Lorraine Hollobone, Australia

After touring NZ in a camper bus i booked the Orari for a touch of last night comfort.Found through the NZ tourist website I thought it looked charming, I was right, from a very friendly welcome and kindly letting us book in early, we found the staff lovely with nothing too much trouble. The room was beautiful with very comfortable beds, a good sized en suit and free wifi. Elegant furnishing, delicious breakfast and complimentary glass of wine in the sunny courtyard a perfect end to our NZ trip.

Karen Lausa, United States

Orari B & B is a lovely, welcoming home-away-from- home type of accommodation that was a highlight of our trip to NZ. The Victorian home is beautiful, spotlessly clean and every creature comfort has been considered for its guests. We found our room to be large, light and cozy, with a rose garden outside our window and the quiet and privacy that we longed for after busy hotels and raucously noisy "backpackers." The breakfast were plentiful and served by delightful staff. HIGHLY recommended!!

tracy richings, New Zealand

We had a lovely night at the Orari B & B, beautiful old house with lots of character, staff friendly and helpful. Wonderfully firm bed and great showers with fabulous water pressure.

Jack, Leonie, Derek and Keryn Ward, New Zealand

My husband and I stayed at Orari with his parents over the Easter weekend. The care and attention given to us by Jan and all the staff there was exceptional. Our rooms were very comfortable and beautifully appointed and we consider Orari our home away from home. The cooked breakfasts every morning were a definite highlight! We will be definitely be going back to stay each time we visit Christchurch.

Vicky (leader) Leaders for the Future (Vicky), New Zealand

We had a group of 7 staying at Orari and found it to be not only comfortable and beautifully fitted out but the hosts were all warm, engaging and helpful people. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a high quality B&B with an environment that makes you feel you are staying with friends. The breakfast was also top rate and the flexibility of our hosts meant our group could feel relaxed while utilising our time together.

Jin Wang, Australia

very good breakfast, nice garden, old house but very clean and beautiful.

Jeff Mehring, Japan

I had a fantastic time! Every day I was greeted by friendly staff who took great care, going out of their way, to make sure I had everything I needed. I felt part of the family and the staff helped me navigate my way around Christchurch, made suggestions for things I should see/do, and showed a genuine interest making sure my stay was the best! Great rooms, very family orientated, great location, and a home away from home. Make Orari B&B your home away from home when you visit Christchurch!

Jennifer-Maree Gamble, Australia

A delightfully wonderful stay. Beautiful residence, well-appointed rooms which are spacious and styled in a way that makes you feel both at home and a bit spoiled at the same time. Fantastic breakfast and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Love the glass of wine at the end of the day to wind down. A truly lovely stay. Cannot fault Orari.

A very cosy house. Host Jan was very kind and helpful. Comfy room and guest lounge. Location was convenient around 10mins walk to the town centre. Right next to the park where we could have a relaxing walk after dinner. Breakfast was great.

Karen Clegg, United States

Orari is very centrally located. The room was clean, the gardens beautiful and the gardens surrounding the house delightful. The staff was very helpful in providing information about the area.

Angela Daly, France

This is a very comfortable B and B right near the centre of Christchurch. The old house has masses of charm and the bedrooms and communal rooms were very attractive with deep carpets, good quality bedding and comfortable arm chairs. There is parking available and free wifi.

Peter & Virginia Zerdelian, United States

if you're planing to visit Christchurch, you need to look no further. Orari is a world class B&B. We are New York Ciry dwelers but each winter we spend time in California and travel outside the Country. This year we decided to visit New Zealand. Orari was the right place for us. Room 2 was very clean, spacious and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was healthy and very satisfying. Jan, the Manager, was extremely kind, helpful in every way, making restaurant reservations, etc..

Most wonderful accommodation and very artful and tastful establishment. Try the scrambld eggs for breakfast. Best I've ever had.As an exclusive top-end tour organiser we need to reply on accommodations that are consistent with a high quality of furnishings and service.

Sharon McCook, New Zealand

Eleanor Great, Unknown

Thank You

Very enjoyable stay. The room apartment was large and very comfortable. Huge shower and very close to the ferry, train station and the many places to eat. Enjoyed having a tea pot :) thank you

Eleanor Great, Unknown

Keay

Excellent - could not fault at all. Very welcoming. Beautiful house - full of character and spotlessly clean. Evening wine and breakfast delicious especially the stewed plums! In very central position.

We had a lovely stay at Orari Bed & Breakfast this past September. We had been using a campervan, so being pampered at Orari B&B was delightful. Lovely home perfectly situated near the Botanical Gardens. Many thanks to the staff for a wonderful stay.

Very enjoyable stay. The room apartment was large and very comfortable. Huge shower and very close to the ferry, train station and the many places to eat. Enjoyed having a tea pot :) thank you

Room was so cute and owner was so friendly! Also breakfast was so delicious. She made porched eggs and fried bacon even though I have to leave early in the morning.

Sharon McCook, New Zealand

Eleanor Great, Unknown

Ben & Annie

Good located and installations but what makes Orari unique is the friendliness of whole the staff. It is easy to feel at home there!

Very enjoyable stay. The room apartment was large and very comfortable. Huge shower and very close to the ferry, train station and the many places to eat. Enjoyed having a tea pot :) thank you

Eleanor Great, Unknown

Thank You

Very enjoyable stay. The room apartment was large and very comfortable. Huge shower and very close to the ferry, train station and the many places to eat. Enjoyed having a tea pot :) thank you

This is a very comfortable B and B right near the centre of Christchurch. The old house has masses of charm and the bedrooms and communal rooms were very attractive with deep carpets, good quality bedding and comfortable arm chairs. There is parking available and free wifi.

if you're planing to visit Christchurch, you need to look no further.

Fong Yock Yee, Australia

Loved the interior and easy accessibility within the vicinity. lovely free breakfast and wine in the evening, really feel like home in overseas. Will highly recommend to give it a try, I will definitely stay there if I go Christchurch again. Thanks for the fantastic stay.

Most wonderful accommodation and very artful and tastful establishment. Try the scrambld eggs for breakfast. Best I've ever had.As an exclusive top-end tour organiser we need to reply on accommodations that are consistent with a high quality of furnishings and service.

Excellent - could not fault at all. Very welcoming. Beautiful house - full of character and spotlessly clean. Evening wine and breakfast delicious especially the stewed plums! In very central position.

We wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Christchurch and staying at Orari B&B was a real highlight. We miss having breakfast by the Bay window... For a first time visitor, it made all the difference and really left us with a wonderful experience.10/10 Fabulous!

We felt most welcome at Orari B&B. Room and bathroom were clean but TV could have been in a better position for bed time viewing. Situated in downtown Christchurch it was a short walk to most stores and places of interest.
